Breast Cancer

Breast cancer is the type of cancer in which abnormal cells grow rapidly in the breast. The ratio of breast cancer high in Women as compared to that in Man. 

Types of Breast Cancer

1.MBC (Metastatic Breast Cancer)

MBC has 4 stages of Breast cancer. In this type of cancer, the abnormal cells also spread in other parts of the body like the lungs, liver, bone, brain.

Symptoms of MBC include pain, nipple discharge, lump or thickening in breast or underarms.

Symptoms of MBC spread in bone, liver, lungs, brain is given below:

Bones: swelling, bones are easily fractured, pain.

Brain: worse headache, vision issue, seizures, nausea.

Liver: jaundice, rash on the skin, nausea and vomiting, appetite loss.

Lungs: chest pain, Chronic cough.

Treatment: Metastatic Breast Cancer can be treated through Chemotherapy, Hormone therapy, Radiation therapy, Surgery. 

2.DCIS (Ductal Carcinoma In Situ)

DCIS is an early stage of breast cancer. This type of cancer can occur due to the presence of abnormal cells in the lining of the breast milk duct. In this type of cancer cell do not spread to the other organs.

Symptoms of DCIS includes pain in Breast, bloody discharge from nipples, red rashes near the nipple or breast and a palpable lump in the breast. 

Treatment: Ductal Carcinoma In Situ is treated through the procedure of BCS (BREAST-CONSERVING SURGERY) in which the tumor is removed by surgery. 

3.IDC (Invasive Ductal Carcinoma)

IDC is the most common type of breast cancer. It is mostly found in men rather than woman. In IDC, the abnormal cells grow in the breast duct and also affect the breast tissues.

Symptoms of IDC includes Breast lump, nipple discharge, thickening of breast skin, swelling, rash on the nipple, nipple turning inward. 

Treatment: Invasive Ductal Carcinoma is treated through Chemotherapy, Radiation therapy, Surgery, targeted therapy.

4.TNBC (Triple Negative Breast Cancer)

Triple-Negative breast cancer is mostly found in young adults. In this type of cancer, the three receptors Estrogen, Progesterone and HER2 are not found in cancer cells. Tumor cells lack the necessity of these receptors. Common treatments like hormone therapy and drugs that target the receptors is done in this case.

Symptoms of TNBC includes breast skin change, swelling, redness near the breast and change in shape and size of the breast. Flaking and peeling of nipple skin is also a common symptom.

Treatment: Triple Negative breast cancer treated by Chemotherapy, Radiation therapy, Surgery.

5.IBC (Inflammatory Breast Cancer)

IBC is the third stage of breast cancer. It is aggressive and fast-growing breast cancer in which abnormal cells penetrate in the skin and lymph vessels of the breast. IBC appears when lymph vessels are blocked.

Symptoms of IBC include itching and rash appearing near the breast, swelling, retracted, or inverted nipple.

Treatment: Inflammatory Breast Cancer is treated by Chemotherapy and Surgery.
