Description
AM-D3 inj
- Vitamin D3 injection is composed of cholecalciferol.
- This medicine is used for treating uncomplicated vitamin D deficiency and vitamin D deficiency due to intestinal malabsorption or chronic liver disease.
- It is also used to treat hypocalcemia (low blood calcium level) due to hypoparathyroidism low parathyroid hormone level) or in patients with renal osteodystrophy (bone disease due to kidney disease).
- It maybe given as a supplement to individuals with low Vitamin D levels (less than 25 ng/mL). It can also be given to individuals with deficiency of calcium and phosphorous and it's necessary for kidney functioning.

- It is given as IM injection by a health care professional.

- This medication should be used with care in patients with cardiovascular (heart and blood vessel diseases).
- Use cautiously in patients with osteoporosis as it may cause immobilization.
- Do not discontinue this medicine without informing your doctor.
