This medicine is indicated in severe refractory psoriasis (skin disease characterized by marked redness and itchy patches), palmoplantar pustulosis (skin condition involving the palms and soles), and Darier's disease (skin disorder).
Description
Acitretin is particularly useful for pustular psoriasis, erythrodermic psoriasis, and psoriasis affecting hands and feet. It is safe for long-term application in psoriatic skin conditions. It enhances cell differentiation in the skin of patients with psoriasis.
Directions For Use
Take this product by mouth with or without food as directed by your doctor, usually once daily.

Precautions
Patients who are allergic to acitretin or any of its components should consult the doctor before taking it. If taking any vitamins, nutritional supplements, and herbal products are taken then consult the doctor before using acitretin. If any sort of swelling is experienced, consult your doctor immediately. Taking acitretin supplements, especially in high doses, might cause congenital disabilities.
