Description

Clobevate 20g Cream is used for the treatment of skin infections that cause rashes and itching. This medicine contains the active ingredient of clobetasol propionate. As the active ingredient of Clobevate 20g Cream is a corticosteroid, the medicine belongs to the group of medicines known as corticosteroids. Corticosteroids are a type of steroids and are strong and extremely effective medicine for inflammation and swelling of the human skin. Corticosteroids are effective against allergy symptoms too but are not considered as a long term use medicine for skin infections and contain harmful effects if considered as a longer period medication.

Directions For Use

The recommended dose of Clobevate 20g for adults (18 and above) is a thin layer applied to the affected part of the body every 12 hours. This process of using Clobevate 20g can be carried on with no more than 50grams of use per week.

Warnings

Its use in pregnant females will require a risk/benefit assessment. Consult your doctor before using this medicine.

Precautions

A more potent use of steroids will lead to systemic effects, with use over large surface area & addition of occlusive dressings on it. In case of local irritation discontinue use. Skin atrophy (thinning of skin) as a result of prolong exposure to steroids, or usage on areas with higher percutaneous absorption. Steroids shouldn’t be used as sole therapy in psoriasis & to treat diaper dermatoses in infants.
