Description
Megestron inj 1 vial
- Megestron injection contains medroxyprogesterone acetate.
- Belongs to progestogen.
Directions For Use
- Administer IM only.
- Shake container vigorously for at least 1 min before giving injection. Inject slowly, over 5-7 sec, into deltoid muscle. Do not inject into gluteal muscle. Pat site lightly after injection.Do not rub it.
Warnings
- Consult doctor before use if you are pregnant.
- This medicine is not recommended for use in the breastfeeding women unless absolutely necessary.
Precautions
- This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to megestron injection or any other ingredient present along with it.
- This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known or suspected pregnancy.
- This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known breast cancer or suspected breast cancer. Patients with a family history of breast cancer should be monitored closely during treatment with this medicine.
- This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known history of liver disease.
- This medicine is not recommended for use if you have an abnormal bleeding episode which has not been diagnosed by a doctor. Report any menstrual irregularities to the doctor immediately.
