Description

Proluton depot inj 250mg 3 Ampx1 ml

• Proluton depot injection contains hydroxyprogesterone caproate.
• Belongs to depot progestogen.
• Acts by mimicking the actions of progesterone and helps in regulation of ovulation and menstruation in women of childbearing age.
• It also prevents premature uterine contraction caused due to oxytocin.

Directions For Use

•  Proluton depot 250 mg injection will be given to you by your doctor or nurse. Do not self-inject this medicine.

Warnings

• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding or are planning a pregnancy consult your doctor before receiving this medication.

Precautions

• This medicine is not recommended for use if you have a known history of allergy to progesterone or any other ingredient present with it. This medicine might contain castor oil and should never be used by patients who are allergic to this component.
• This medicine is not recommended for use if you have an abnormal bleeding episode which has not been diagnosed by a doctor.
• This medicine is not recommended for use in patients having a liver disease or impairment of normal liver function
• This medicine is not recommended for use if you have or are suspected of having hormone related cancer i.e breast or uterine cancer.
• This medicine is not recommended for use in patients having an active or historic instance of stroke or heart attack. It should not be used by patients having an active or historic blood clotting disorder.
• This medicine is not recommended for use in patients having severe and uncontrolled high blood pressure.
