• This medicine is indicated for use in anovulatory infertility ( a condition in which egg is not ovulated resulting in infertility) which is unresponsive to a drug called clomiphene citrate.
• It is used in multi follicular stimulation in superovulation for IVF/ET, GIST and ICSI. (methods in which one or more eggs are artificially made to ovulate to overcome infertility).

Description

Puregon inj 50 IU 1's

• Puregon inj 50IU/0.5ml solution is composed of follitropin beta.
• Follitropin beta is used to treat certain fertility problems in women and men.
• It contains follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH).
• In women it helps stimulate healthy ovaries to produce eggs whereas in men it helps stimulate healthy testes to produce sperm.

Directions For Use

• Puregon is given as a subcutaneous injection (under your skin) in the lower abdominal area.
• Clean the injection area with an alcohol swab.
• Keep holding the pinch as you slowly inject by pushing the dosage knob in.
• Keep pushing on the knob until the dosage indicator has gone back to the zero mark (“0”).

Warnings

• Pregnant females are advised to consult their doctors before taking this medicine.
• Lactating females are advised to consult their doctors before taking this medicine.



Precautions

• It is recommended to exclude anatomical abnormalities.
• Please monitor ovarian size and estrogen response to avoid hyperstimulation (increased stimulus to the ovaries to produce eggs) while using this medication.
