Description

Amikamed 100mg inj

  • Contains amikacin.
  • It works by blocking the production of essential proteins required for bacterial growth. This prevents further growth and kills the infection-causing bacteria.


Directions For Use

  • Amikacin injection comes as a liquid to be injected intravenously (into a vein) or intramuscularly (into a muscle) every 8 or 12 hours (two or three times a day). When amikacin is injected intravenously, it is usually infused (injected slowly) over a period of 30 to 60 minutes


Warnings

  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding or are planning a pregnancy consult your doctor before receiving this medication.


Precautions

  • Injection is not recommended if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor if you have pre-existing kidney, ear or nerve and muscle problems before beginning treatment with this medicine.
