Directions For Use
- Get a high-quality stethoscope.
- Adjust your stethoscope’s earpieces.
- Check the earpiece tension on your stethoscope.
- Choose an appropriate chest piece for your stethoscope.
- Select a quiet place to use your stethoscope.
- Position your patient.
- Decide whether to use the diaphragm or bell.
- Have your patient put on a hospital gown or lift up clothing to expose skin
- Hold the diaphragm over the patient’s heart.
- Listen to the heart for a full minute.
- Count the number of heartbeats you hear in a minute.
- Listen for abnormal heart sounds.
Warnings
- Keep out of reah of children.
- Do not throw it.
Precautions
- Do not immerse your stethoscope in any liquid or subject it to any sterilization process.
- Keep your stethoscope away from extreme heat,cold,solvents and oils.
- Tunable diaphragms can be removed from the chestpiece and their surfaces wiped with alcohol or soapy water.
- Dry all parts thoroughly before reassembly.
