Directions For Use

Take this medication by mouth with or without food as directed by your doctor usually once a day.


Warnings

  • Pregnancy category: C (Use with caution if benefits outweigh risks. Animal studies show risk and human studies not available or neither animal nor human studies done).
  • Lactation: excreted in breast milk, use caution.


Precautions

  • Before taking bisoprolol tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or if you have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more details.
  • Before using this medication tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially of: certain types of heart rhythm problems (such as a slow heartbeat, second- or third-degree atrioventricular block), breathing problems (such as asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema), kidney disease, liver disease, overactive thyroid disease (hyperthroidism), serious allergic reactions including those needing treatment withepinephrine, blood circulation problems (such as Raynaud's disease, peripheral vascular disease), mental/mood disorders (such as depression), a certain muscle disease (myasthenia gravis).
  • This drug may make you dizzy. Alcohol or marijuana (cannabis) can make you more dizzy. Do not drive, use machinery, or do anything that needs alertness until you can do it safely.
  • Before having surgery, tell your doctor or dentist that you are taking this medication.
  • This product may also make it harder to control your blood sugar. Check your blood sugar regularly as directed and share the results with your doctor.
