Highlights

Naproxen is known as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It is used to relieve pain. Sumatriptan belongs to a class of drugs called triptans. It affects a certain natural substance (serotonin) that causes narrowing of blood vessels in the brain.

Description

This combination product contains two ingredients: naproxen and sumatriptan. It helps to relieve headache, pain, and other migraine symptoms (including nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to light/sound) in adults and in children 12 years or older.

Directions For Use

Take this medication by mouth at the first sign of a migraine as directed by your doctor, with a full glass of water (8 ounces/240 milliliters). Do not lie down for at least 10 minutes after taking this drug. 

Warnings

These drugs pass into breast milk and may have undesirable effects on a nursing infant. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

Precautions

Before taking this product, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to naproxen or to sumatriptan; or to aspirin or other NSAIDs (such as ibuprofen, celecoxib); or if you have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more details.
