Description

Tramadol is an opioid analgesic. Opioid analgesics act on the brain and affect the part which transmits pain signals to the body and helps relieve pain. Therefore, this medicine is used for treating moderate to severe pain.

Should be taken orally or as directed by doctor.

Warnings

Pregnant females should consult their doctors before using this medicine. 

Research suggests that women who are breastfeeding should avoid taking Tramadol. It's better for lactating females to consult their doctors before using this medicine. 

Precautions

Not recommended for use if you are allergic to tramadol or any other opioid analgesics. (morphine, codeine etc.) or any other ingredient present in Tramadol. This medicine should not be abruptly stopped as it can cause severe withdrawal symptoms. Not recommended for use in children under age 12 years or after removal of tonsils or adenoids in people under 18.
