Directions For Use

Budesonide comes as a capsule to take by mouth. It is usually taken once a day in the morning.

Swallow the capsules whole; do not split, chew, or crush them.

Take budesonide by mouth with food as directed by the doctor.

Warnings

Pregnant females should consult their doctors before using this medicine.  

Consult your doctor before using budesonide for a better analysis if you have liver disease.

Precautions

Before using this medicine inform your doctor about any previous or recent allergies. Caution is advised for patients with a medical history of eyes (cataracts or increased eye pressure), liver diseases, high blood pressure, thyroid problems, diabetes, intestinal problems mainly inflammation, osteoporosis (brittle bones), tuberculosis, bleeding disorders, and central nervous system disturbances (anxiety, depression, psychosis). Using corticosteroids for a long time may make it difficult for your body to respond to stress. Daily use of alcohol while taking this medicine may result in stomach bleeding.
