Victoza (liraglutide) injection 1.2 mg or 1.8 mg is an injectable prescription medicine used: along with diet and exercise to lower blood sugar (glucose) in adults and children who are 10 years of age and older with type 2 diabetes mellitus.


Directions For Use

Victoza is usually given once per day. Follow all directions on your prescription label. Your doctor may occasionally change your dose. Do not use this medicine in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.


Warnings

You should not use Victoza if you have multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2 (tumors in your glands), a personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer, insulin-dependent diabetes, or diabetic ketoacidosis.


Precautions

Keep the pen cap on when not in use. Discard pen 30 days after first use. VICTOZA should be protected from excessive heat and sunlight. Always remove and safely discard the needle after each injection and store the VICTOZA pen without an injection needle attached.
