Highlights

Xeticam (levetiracetam) tablet is indicated as:

Monotherapy:

• In the treatment of partial onset seizures with or without secondary generalization in adults and adolescents from 16 years of age with newly diagnosed epilepsy.

Adjunctive Therapy:

• In the treatment of partial onset seizures with or without secondary generalization in adults, adolescents and children 6 years of age or above with epilepsy.

• In the treatment of myoclonic seizures in adults and adolescents from 12 years of age with juvenile myoclonic epilepsy.

• In the treatment of primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures in adults and adolescents from 6 years of age with idiopathic generalized epilepsy.

Directions For Use

• Take this medicine with or without meals and stay hydrated.
• Do not stop taking this medicine abruptly, gradually lower the dose, and then stop.

Warnings

• No definite data regarding pregnant females is available,therefore be cautious. Consult your doctor for further advice.
• This medicine is contraindicated in lactating females, consult your doctor for further information.
• Please avoid driving when taking this medicine as it may affect your ability to drive.
• Please avoid consuming alcohol when taking this medicine.

Precautions

• Patient using this medicine should inform medical history to their doctor, especially of renal (kidney) or hepatic (liver) impairment.
• Use this medicine with caution if the patient has decreased blood cell count, weakness, fever, coagulation disorders and old age.
