Directions For Use
- Cefuroxime oral is administered orally.
- Swallow the pill whole, without crushing, chewing, or breaking it.
- Cefuroxime can be taken with or without food.
- Take no more than the recommended dose. Take this medicine at the same time every day.
Warnings
- Cefuroxime is safe to use during pregnancy to treat bacterial infections. It is unknown whether or not cefuroxime causes birth abnormalities in the fetus. Pregnant females should consult their doctors before using this medicine.
- It is not considered harmful during breastfeeding. It is found in lower concentrations in breast milk. It should only be used by lactating females if the advantages outweigh the risks to the baby. It is best for lactating females to consult their doctors before using cefuroxime.
- It may induce dizziness, disorientation, or seizures in some people. It is best to not drive after taking cefuroxime.
- It may cause a rise in the levels of liver enzymes and can raise the danger of liver damage. People with liver diseases should consult their doctors before using cefuroxime.
- iIt s eliminated through urine after being processed by the kidney. It can accumulate and cause toxicity if the kidney is compromised. People having kidney diseases should consult their doctors before using cefuroxime.
