What is the HbA1c Test?
hbA1c is blood test that assesses your overall health and shows you your glucose level of the past three months. Glucose comes in your blood stream from your food and mainly from carbs. Glucose is essential for energy and your daily requirements as well. Insulin is a hormone that helps your glucose to get into your cells. Type 2 diabetes:
In type 2 diabetes, your blood glucose gets insanely high
because your body is not making enough insulin to move that blood sugar from
your blood into your cells. Or if your cells stop responding to Insulin.
Prediabetes:
It means that your blood sugar levels are getting higher more than usual. But these levels are not that high to diagnose diabetes. This situation can is preventive and you can stop diabetes from happening.
