What is the CA 125 Test?
The main purpose of a CA test is to measure the amount of the protein CA 125 in the blood. It is basically a cancer antigen 125. When various treatments are going on during cancers of different types, these tests will be done to monitor the cancer activity, growth, and inhibition as well. The main one for which it is used is ovarian cancer. But this test is not optimal for ovarian cancer screening. Only best for when you have a diagnosed cancer case.
