What is the Blood Culture Test?
In the Blood Culture Test, the blood is checked for foreign invaders like bacteria, yeast, and other microorganisms as well. If these pathogens and microbes are present in your blood then it means that you have an infection of the blood known as bacteremia. A positive blood culture would mean that you have bacteria in your blood. The test tells if you have an infection in your body that is capable to affect your whole body. This type of infection is known as systemic infection. In this infection, blood that is circulating in your whole body can effect other organs and parts of your body. The blood culture test determines the presence of bacteria or fungus or any type of microbe or pathogen in your blood. This test will determine if you have any type of infection or not by just determining the type of pathogen.

If the result of both of your cultures came back negative then it means that you don’t have any type of infection or there is no bacteria, pathogen, fungus, or microbes presence in your blood. It will indicate that you are healthy without infection in your blood.
